Exploring Shibori - Itajime on Cotton - with Eileen Gombosi

Please review our Class Policies & Etiquette BEFORE signing up for a class. Thank you!

In this workshop, participants will explore the centuries-old Japanese textile art of Shibori, with a focus on the Itajime method.

The Itajime technique uses folding, clamping, and tying to create beautiful geometric patterns. No two pieces ever come out the same—each fold creates its own distinctive design. Unwrapping the fabric after dyeing is always a bit magical!
Finished Itajime fabrics are stunning in quilted projects, wall art, pillows, garments, and more.

This class fee also includes all supplies including 1 yard of PFD cotton, no need to bring anything! (You may want to wear clothes that are ok to get dye on.)

Snow Date for the January class is Thursday, January 22nd. 12:30-3:30pm.
