Log Cabin Technique Class using Blue Lagoon Pattern
This class teaches a unique method of cutting and sewing log cabin blocks so that they are all the perfect size. No trimming the blocks to make wonky final log! The key is the cutting so students are asked to bring their fabric to class prepared to cut, but no advance cutting is done. In class, we will cut the blocks and then begin the sewing, learning techniques that allow for correcting sewing errors. If you like log cabin quilts, you will love this technique!!!

| Requirements: | Sewing machine in good working order, cleaned and oiled. If your sewing machine has not been serviced within the last year, you may bring it into the store for a tune up (BEFORE class) and receive $10 off the regular tune up price. Please have a good working knowledge of how to use your machine prior to class. (If you are attending a basic class and are not familiar with your machine, please bring your instruction manual.) You may use a classroom machine, please call ahead to reserve one. Rotary cutter, ruler, mat (you will have access to rulers and mats in the classroom; but may have to wait for use) ❖Extra needles ❖Thread for Piecing ❖Extra bobbins pre-wound with neutral thread ❖Flat-headed Pins ❖Scissors/Thread Snips ❖Reverse sewing tool (ie. seam ripper) ❖1/4" Foot ❖Walking foot or even feed foot if your machine does not have IDT ❖Best Press |
